Becca Buchanan Boudoir Model Shoot –

The lovely Becca Boo as I call her who you may remember from the rooftop sunset shoot is a total glamazon at 5′ 11″ statuesque, with incredible legs. She’s a runway model her agency sent to test with me she hadn’t done much print work.

Got her into the LA studio and I handed her a button down shirt to wear. Needless to say; she was rather confused and shocked at first. But she settled into the idea as you can see.

One of the most vital things to accomplishing a shoot like this with a subject in this case a model who has never done a shoot like this or nude is trust.

Becca had a great amount of trust in me and the team I was working with to allow herself to completely leave her comfort zone.

As a photographer you too must have confidence in your ability and how well the shoot will turn out. Your lack of confidence can really kill the likeliness that the subject will feel comfortable doing a shoot like this. Especially when you’re not dealing with professional models.

She was so nervous during this shoot. You can see  in a couple of the images; she has a tablet in her hands. She was watching the images come up as I shot them. With each image she became more awed that the images were of her.

It is truly a great thing to take a woman and when you show her images hear her whisper in awe. “That’s Me?”

For this shoot, I employed the use of one of the huge windows and the daylight coming into the room.

I was also using my collapsible beauty dish as well off to the right side of her to create a bit of wrap around light.

I don’t know if I accomplished it exactly as I had seen it in my mind but I got close. Shooting with Becca was such a pleasure and I look forward to the possibility of doing it again.
