I am going to guess that every photographer and model dreams of one day traveling to some exotic locations for shoots, which isn’t unreasonable! It’s part of the job right? ???? OK just maybe traveling to exotic places for photo shoots isn’t everyone’s idea of a good time but for those of us who love it I thought that I would share some of my tips with you.

If you’re new to photography for goodness sake STOP booking WEDDINGS. The only way you should ever be near a wedding with a camera as a new photographer is as a guest. There is no situation where you should ever be shooting one off events. When you fuck up someone’s wedding or one off event and you absolutely WILL, there is no do over.
The whole, “my friend knows I’m new and learning” is absolute B.S! They do not have the slightest clue what that means. Neither do you. Learn and master the fundamentals of photography first.

Shooting a model with a city in the background isn’t as easy as it would seem. I had for a very long time now wanted to do a shoot at night with a city scape in the background. Something that I found could be very challenging.
Not necessarily challenging in the way one might think, just challenging because I wasn’t sure exactly how to accomplish the look I wanted. I have a friend who has this great loft apartment with roof access and he allowed me to come shoot there and what a great day it was.
